Home :: The Parish Council.
Parish Finance Main income is the Precept from Herefordshire Council. The Precept is usually decided at the November meeting when councillors look at proposed spending for the next financial year. This is then paid to the Parish Council is two tranches in April and September. The Parish Council’s biggest expense is mowing and maintenance of Garway Common. Other annual costs are insurance, pest control for the hall, audit fees, parish waste freighter, and maintenance and inspection of the childrens playground. The council give an annual grant to the village hall to cover insurance costs. The Accounts are audited internally and externally. Mr J Benjamin in the Internal Auditor for the Council U HY Accountants, in Birmingham externally audit the accounts annually.
