Garway has a local parish magazine which it shares with the surrounding villages of St Weonards, Orcop, Pencoyd, Tretire, Hentland and Hoarwithy. It is produced monthly by a team of volunteers and is circulated to about 485 homes, keeping people in touch with local events and news. About 100 local businesses and services advertise in the magazine, providing a very useful source of information for anyone needing anything from logs for the fire to a piano lesson. A small profit is made each year, and this is donated to local groups and projects to put something back into the community.

The magazine runs regular contributions from our local wildlife expert and local history enthusiast, with recipes and gardening tips where there is space, along with adverts for all the many local events, from medieval banquets to church services, farmers’ markets and film shows.

Copies are available from Broad Oak Garage, costing just 50p each month.
