Noticeboard: The Medieval Banquet

To mark the 700th anniversary of the dissolution of the Knights Templar, the Garway Heritage Group opened its social activities on on October 12th 2007 at Tanglewood Farm, Garway Hill with a medieval banquet. The participants came in full period dress to receive a menu of authentic medieval food and drink, the highlight being the whole pig roast with the boar's head brought in procession to the table. With music of the time and storytelling to entertain between dishes, a great night was enjoyed by everyone. Thanks to William Braid and family for the use of their barn, which was decked out with flags and banners in atmospheric candlelight for the occasion.
Here is a selection of photos from the event. Thanks to all the photographers involved.
